Comment with one of my characters (past or present) and I will tell you the following:

1. What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her.
2. One of his/her best traits.
3. One of his/her worst traits.
4. How easy/difficult I find it to write the character.

And since RPing is an interactive thing, what trait/characteristic is the hardest to write with? And what characteristic/trait is the best to write against?

He looks at her from across the bar. They're older now, out of school, grown up in so many different ways. She was shy and quiet--ever worried about what someone else might think or say about her. He was charming, witty, wanted by so many people. She never had much to say for herself until he ruined everything between them. His star status was the only thing that bound them together in his brief stay at her school.

Many years passed and he went on to great things. Her grandmother died and she rose out of the tragedy like a songbird finally released from its cage. She no longer tiptoed on eggshells hoping people wouldn't notice her. She was a confident young woman. She got a job as a bartender, very unusually, so that she could afford an apartment's rent all on her own. Which is how they meet again.

He's lost his latest love to a professional quidditch player, how cliche, she thinks. He's ruggedly handsome, but sadness drowns his charm as he drowns his sorrow in cheap vodka. He chases with fire whiskey. She lets him talk, if he wants, but mostly, they refuse to speak. He never wronged her, but he still feels like he let her down. He wants to apologize, but somehow, he just doesn't have the words.

Eventually, she tells him she forgives him, sets the glass on the counter, moves down the line to the other customers. Drunkenly, he looks over the glass, how many he's had, she doesn't know--she's lost track. And he slurs out, with a simple smile, "I love you."

Alice for the first!

Questions~
-If you had to put your characters into a different house (or sort for the first time) where would you put them and why?
-in what was do you relate to/how are you similar to your characters?
-is there a certain type/house that you're more drawn to? or certain traits that you use a lot?
-why riley likes the girls who could kick his ass xD
-tanner and JJ's relationship! because I like their dynamic and am curious about ~tanner's feelings~ and how JJ influences him

1. What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her. Uhhh...I wanted a female that wouldn't be overpowering. Originally, she was going to be a real hell raiser, but as I wrote her, she turned into this quiet...cast off. I think the fact that she feels so unwanted is fascinating. So her history is intriguing enough to continue to write her.

2. One of his/her best traits. Her ability to just give everything up for her friends. She's so completely loyal.

3. One of his/her worst traits. She likes to distance herself. So when I want to really write her, she's busy trying to tell me she's not in the mood to be friends with them. And what not.

4. How easy/difficult I find it to write the character. Uhh. She's really hard. Because I need someone to help propel her, to kind of... need her to be around. And when she's not needed, she doesn't come out to play. Which means that when she's needed (which is never), she's easy to write. But when she's not needed, it's like pulling teeth.

5. The story/thread/chapter/post/paragraph/tag/phrase where I feel that I truly captured the character. I won't link you. But the Vlad/Alice thread. She just let herself be open there. So ... yeah. That's really her only thread anyway. :/ Nat and I have been writing Alice/Theo since like..October.

6. My plans for the character in the near future. Unrequitedness with Vlad. I thought a hook up with Cody. IDK. I'd meant for her to have gotten around a little bit, because she doesn't want a relationship or to believe in love or anything, but no one's taken the bait.

"Yes, of course we're alright. Things are just...well. I mean. They're awkward. Sid likes someone else. I mean, she cheated on me. But I'm just kind of doing what I have to to get through this year. But that doesn't mean we're not still friends or anything. I'd just prefer not to do it around her. If that's okay. Do you want some biscuits?"

"I don't know, Frenchie! They're squishy and weird and they bounce and they're like udders. I mean. They're freaking gross. They just...hang there. Yours exploded out of your shirt, remember? They'll like...suffocate me in my sleep. I'm an ass guy. Or a leg guy. Even more, I like someone who can take care of herself. But boobs....ugh."

And no. Writing Riley is FUN. Because I never have to worry about plot for him. He just does it. He goes out there, does his thing and comes back. When I send Alice to the front to do something, she goes quietly and most times, she comes back with nothing done. The more shy the character, the harder they are to write. Riley is one of my favorite characters because he can be fun or sad or dramatic or romantic--he's a mix of everything. So no. He's like..why I role-play.

Wait! How long has this been you? And how long have I had you friended? I am glad I have you friended but I didn't realize this was you or I'd have been reading your posts for ages! (...I don't read a lot of posts. ...I don't read my flist very often. ...I have been kind of fail at all things cdj for months.)

They would bind and gag Riley. Chase and Alice would go to their corners, Maddie would run around flustered trying to figure out what to do while Tanner set his books out to get rid of Riley. And Quinn would get nervous and just try to like...knit in the corner. If they don't get Riley under wraps, so much shit would go down. Chase and Riley would face off. Then they'd probably fight Tanner. Maddie would learn how to craft from Quinn. And Alice would read alone in the corner.

And I have a thing for unrequited bff turned romantic plots. I just really like them.
